So,
Nine Inch Nails,
as well as Radiohead, and Coldplay,
to name a few,
of the bands who are releasing singles,
full length cd's or even mixtapes to the tits (like Lil'Wayne)
for free, (or pay what you want) on the internet.
Is this a good direction for music?
Do you think the music industry will thrive of the advertising aspect that they now rely upon.
If the music is actually free, how will record companies get money?
Will it be as simple as to download this new cd, you have to watch an advertisement of some sorts?
Maybe you will get credits, of associated companies,
and when you buy enough merch or junk from Nike you get your
new Chromeo album completely free.
Music is already practically free,
for those who choose to share,
now the record companies are realizing something must be done,
as to amend for slipping profits.
Hm,
no matter what the future holds,
I don't mind it right now,
as I'm listening to The Slip for free.
Thanks Trent!
P.S. Now going to link mp3
Cause you can get full album here.
